AnisahCares Inc. was founded in Boston Massachusetts in 2020, providing essential necessities to individuals and families  transitioning from homelessness into permanent housing. AnisahCares has since expanded our services by providing outreach support to connect our clients with wraparound, and community based support to sustain their independence longterm.

 Our focus is to provide ongoing mental health & domestic violence support, educational skills, and financial literacy to minorities of color in underserved communities. 

Our organization is named after the late Anisah Beverly Taylor, a mother, and former healthcare professional with a love for caring for the elderly, and those in need. 

 After experiencing years domestic violence and facing homelessness as a young adult, Anisah battled with severe mental health illness including depression, PTSD, anxiety, and bipolar disorder as a result of her trauma.

On January 31, 2020 at the age of 50 years old; Anisah passed away from complications from leukemia leaving her mission to be further executed, now called AnisahCares.

​​In addition, we understand the barriers to maintaining health care treatment. In collaboration with Metro Cab, we provide emergency medical transportation vouchers to patients with blood cancer/leukemia diagnosis, receiving ongoing treatment in the Oncology Department at Boston Medical Center.
